Why do we exist?
Simply put: Fort Baptist exists because we are called by God to spread the Kingdom of God into our community.
Tragically, people live their lives and miss out on the greatest love and gift there is: knowing and living for God. We believe life is best lived in relationship with God, and we want every person in our community to know Jesus. Jesus commanded us to tell others about Him (Matthew 28:18-20), and because we know Him, we want others to know Him as well! Jesus has changed our lives and we want others to know His transformation. We do not exist to only be inside the walls of a building, we exist to see our community changed. We do not exist to grow in numbers, we want to see transformation in people's lives. We exist to spread the Kingdom of God into our community.
Where did we come from?
My wife and I (Pastor Ryan) moved to Fort Oglethorpe 4 years ago and fell in love with the community. Over the years, our passion and desire to make Kingdom impact in this community has grown as the Lord has opened many doors for us to make a difference in this community. The Lord brought our leadership together with a similar mission and vision, and we were blessed to plant Fort Baptist Church after much prayer. Originally meeting at the American Legion on Sunday nights, and then the Ringgold Colonnade, we are now meeting at the Battlefield Community Seventh Day Adventist Church on Sunday mornings for worship service. Every location we have been at we have grown, seeing the community changed, and we are excited about seeing what God will do in our current community! We have seen the Lord do incredible things and open huge doors, and we are believing He will continue to do so to grow His church and impact our community!
Where are we going?
We believe the best days are ahead for Fort Baptist! We believe we will see God do incredible things in our church and community. We are committed to obeying Jesus and loving people. We will continue to be faithful to the Bible, obey His leading, and serve our community for His glory.

We meet on Sundays at 11 AM and on Wednesdays at 6:45 PM.
